REPORT FROM WCNI INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL WANGANUI
Our 2010 WCNI Individual Time Trial Championships were held at Wanganui this year.
A good report from Wanganui, there were 75 riders participating in the Individual Time Trial remarks were that it was a hard slog up Dury Hill battling against the wind but a good day enjoyed by all. The Time Trial was held on the Saturday
REPORT FROM WCNI ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS HAWERA
This year our WCNI 2010 Road Championships were held at Manaia and run by the Hawera Cycling Club. Two courses were used. Circuit 1 for the Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, boys and girls and Circuit 2 for the Under 19, Senior Under 23 and Masters Races.
It was a very good turn out with 98 riders participating, the best in a long time. It worked out extremely well, two weeks before the NZ Club Road Nationals. This is the first time both events have been held over the same weekend and it was decided we need to do the same next year. Murray Drake thanked all the other clubs for their help in running the Road Races.
REPORT FROM BIKENZ ROAD AND TRACK AGM CHRISTCHURCH
Ron Cheatley stepped in at the last moment as our WCNI delegate at BRT AGM in Christchurch this year.
The fee structure for 2011, the only change for entry fees is for the Elite Road Champs which will now be $50.00.
Cycling New Zealand Federation monies now formally handed over to BRT as Cycling NZ has changed now to BikeNZ Road and Track.
Some trade teams have been going direct to BikeNZ and not paying Club or Centre fees this needs looking in to.
Some additional events for next year in the track program, will still separate Track Nationals but run them right through, this years Elites were run so to get UCI points.
Our WCNI remit has been addressed about the licencing a whole new structure is being worked out by BRT and should be in place for 1 October this year for 2011.
The NZ Club Road Nationals will be in Wanganui 2011 this is a huge event with lots of volunteers needed. Wanganui are asking the WCNI Centre for help with running this event.
All in all a really positive 2010 BRT AGM in Christchurch everyone agreed.
Ian Gray thanked Ron for attending on our behalf and also for a very comprehensive report

REPORT FROM QUEENS BIRTHDAY TOUR TARANAKI
Jeremy Cottam gives a report on the Queens Birthday Tour at Taranaki. The numbers were down this year despite entries were kept open till Thursday. The weather was the same as always, just terrible. It was suggested could it not be run over Easter, the weather should be better but New Plymouth still want to keep it over Queens Birthday weekend. It was then suggested maybe an opportunity for another race could be run over Easter weekend. The commissaires did a brilliant job and Jeremy thanked all the helpers that helped out over the three days.
PALMERSTON NORTH MARIST, FEILDING CLUBS AMALGAMATION
Glenys Taylor spoke about the amalgamation of Palmerston North Marist Cycling Club and Feilding Cycling Club also Manawatu Masters. Glenys has had discussions with BikeNZ and the new name of Bike Manawatu has been registered with the Incorporated Societies, this is to start from January 2011. WCNI Cycling Centre approval is required for this to take place. Ron advises for letter from Marist and Feilding to be sent to WCNI Centre Secretary, with Incorporated Societies covering page and last Minutes from clubs, then Centre needs to give financial clearance from these two clubs and send to BikeNZ with all documents covering this. Ron moved that the proposal be accepted in principal. Final approval is on condition when the correct written documents are received by the centre secretary
